- We process the entire transcription work in our office without sub-contractors, hence the patient information does not leave Scribenet premises.
- All external media drives including floppy disks and CDROM drives are disabled on each Medical Transcriptor's workstation. This likewise ensures that your information stays confidential with Scribenet.
- Our system require passwords to access documents from the network and the Scribenet File Manager (SFM).
- We have firewalls and antivirus software on all the computers and virus definitions are aptly updated.
- Any spoiled hard copies of notes and copies of patient schedules are cross-cut shredded on site.
- Monthly back-ups of computer systems are maintained and recovery is constantly put to test.
- We have instituted security measures to protect the security and integrity of protected information according to HIPAA guidelines.
- Technical evaluation is performed routinely to ensure that all systems meet or exceed specified security requirements.

Scribenet’s employees and business associates are required to comply with standards that protect the confidentiality of Personal Health Information (as defined in HIPAA). Scribenet protects Personal Health Information from inappropriate use or disclosure.
